Some potential stressors in my life include science, grades and my health. To deal with the stress that accompanies science, I ask my teacher for help and study the subjects we are learning to gain a better understanding. For the stress of my grades, I study all of my classes to ensure good marks when tests come about. Lastly, when I feel stressed with my physical health, I try to include more ‘cleaner’ meals so that I feel good on the inside out.
Core Competency Reflection
I work with others to achieve a goal. I demonstrated this when I had to collaborate and work together in a group.
I can form new ideas to create new things. I can also build on the ideas of others. I have demonstrated this during foods class when we had to create a new recipe for challenges.
I can show a sense of accomplishment and joy. I take pride in my work and myself. I have demonstrated this when I got a good mark on an assignment or test, or if I worked hard to improve my mark.
I can analyze evidence to make judgements. I have demonstrated this in science when we had to analyze experiments and record our findings.
One goal I have for myself is to do well and work hard in all of my classes, no matter how hard it may get so I can finish off the year with good marks. I am going to work towards the “I can statement:”
I can show a sense of accomplishment and joy when I do well in a task. I am working on this goal because there are times when I get an A in a project or test and I am not satisfied. I will work towards being proud of myself by being thankful for whatever mark I get no matter how low I think it may be.
