Show and Tell Presentation and Self-Assessment

Curricular Response

I believe that my greatest strengths were my timeliness in getting it in on time, the activity that involved treats, and my introduction to the topic through familiar examples. I was happy that this was introduced early as I had more time to prepare for the past couple of months. I also thought that the activity was cool with the bible passage and the basketball game.

I would like to have more thought-provoking questions that would get people thinking more about the topic. I learned that I was too direct, and prohibited people from getting their ideas. I would also like to ensure that the topic that I choose is a topic that benefits people’s hearing and is something that they do not hear that often.

Core Competency Self-Assessment

Since I already knew a lot about my topic, I went to resources that I was familiar with and spoke on first-hand knowledge. I got some ideas from videos, pictures, and most importantly, the Bible. I also prayed about which information to include, ensuring that the most crucial information was included.

The strategies I used for collecting relevant information were sifting through the various sources and seeing which one best described what I was conveying. Regarding the midwives, I researched their backgrounds and significance, which helped me conclude their obedience to God and their defying of Pharoah’s orders.
