I can persevere with challenging tasks and take ownership of my goals, learning and behavior. This was demonstrated when I set goals to complete the work packages within a set amount of time. (About one package per week and a half).
I can be kind to others, and support others when they need it. This was demonstrated when I would help classmates whenever they have a question bout a question. For example I helped several classmates with questions they had about the Missoni, Chai Tea, and Air Care work packages. And I will continue to help if anymore questions come up in the future.
An important part of Testing a product is using feedback to make changes and improve a product or service. This is because if you want to know how other will view your work, the best way is to ask for feedback. I got feedback on my logo and answered questions about it in the Marketing and Promotion 11 teams. It is also important to give feedback on other peoples works. Giving feedback effectively can be done with the T.A.G. method. The T.A.G. method is to T- tell what you liked about it, A- ask a question, and G- give a suggestion or constructive criticism. This method allows one to effectively give proper feedback to work well.

This “I can” statement from the Communications Competency applies to me because I gave feedback about others logos in a clear, organized way.
I really liked reading and writing a review about this book. I found difficulties while working when I had to find an antagonist. Because of Mr. Terupt doesn’t have a person or group of people who are holding the protagonist back. Instead I found that the antagonist was actually an emotion that each one of the protagonists were feeling, which was more difficult for me to figure out. I enjoyed writing about the book, however, I did find it hard sometimes to find the motivation to sit down and read. I overcame this by just settling down and getting it over with, but once I started reading then I didn’t want to stop. I ended up finishing the book and the writing before Spring break was over. This assignment helped me to not procrastinate as much as I usually would, which is a skill I will translate into my other classes.
Core Competency Reflection
Examples of where I communicate clearly and purposefully can be seen in my book review presentation. I demonstrated the “Communication Competency” when I was speaking loud and clear so that even the people in the back of the room could hear my presentation.
When I need to re-focus, I take a small walk then just do what I need to do (ex. homework). I demonstrated the “Personal Awareness and Responsibility Competency” when I had to often re-focus and motivate myself to sit down and read. I did this by taking a short walk outside and clearing my head, then getting back to reading.
To celebrate an accomplishment such as completing homework early, I play video games. I demonstrated the “Personal Awareness and Responsibility Competency” when I completed all of my homework, including the book review project, before Spring break had even ended. I celebrated by spending the rest of my time relaxing, watching movies, and playing video games.
I can set goals and can persevere during difficult times. I managed my time and did my marketing work during class instead of leaving it for homework. For example I completed my Promotion presentation project during class before a long weekend.
I can work on being able to express my needs and seek help when needed, and act on decisions. I can try to get better at this throughout the semester.
The purpose of Factories in the industrial revolution and now, is to produce good quickly and efficiently. It was created to make goods quicker so that businesses can make money faster. It is now being utilized to produce good quickly similarly to the IR, the factories have been improved to work faster without as many mistakes thanks to machines.
A big problem that factories have faced since its creation is pollution. Pollution is a big problem because it affects all life, fish, birds, humans. Factories have dumped garbage into the ocean and land, and have released smoke into the atmosphere.
Factories have stopped dumping garbage into the land and sea which has helped bring down pollution throughout the world. Factories have put trees around their buildings so the CO2 is absorbed. The C or carbon is absorbed by the tree and used to help the trees grow, and the remaining O2 is released into the world.
The solutions listed in question 3. are all very good fixes, they’re not being used as much as they can be. Sure most factories are not dumping trash into the environment. But they are polluting the air. Most factories are using 1 or 2 of the solutions but not all of them. In 25 years I can see factories using all the solutions to further help the environment.
