Social Studies 10 Reflection

In Social Studies 10, I studied some of the most impactful events of the 20th century, including World War II and key turning points like the Battle of Britain, where Britain defied relentless German air attacks and defended its freedom. I also explored Japan’s role in the war and its eventual surrender after the devastating atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Another major topic was the Great Depression, a worldwide economic collapse that left millions in poverty and fueled global unrest. One of the most harrowing lessons was the Holocaust, where millions of Jewish people and other minority groups were brutally persecuted and murdered by the Nazis. These events revealed the profound human cost of conflict and the critical importance of learning from history to prevent such tragedies from ever happening again
