Digital Footprint

Your digital footprint is a big part of your past, present, and future self. Your past being what you have said, done, or posted in the past. Present is what you are currently letting the world see that you post. And for your future, post-secondary schools and jobs will be looking into your digital footprint to see if you are a person who will look good in their space, meaning if you post some inappropriate stuff they may not think that is a good look for their space that they have created. Staying safe on the internet is another thing that is needed, it can also contribute to your digital footprint. Keeping your digital footprint safe has somethings you must do like, thinking before you post, keeping your accounts private with only family and closer friends. Once something is posted to the internet it is there forever, even if you delete it yourself. Be smart when you are posting, you never know what can happen. Our generation has gotten phones and social media at young ages, so we are lucky to be learning about our digital footprint, and the kids nowadays who are born and at the age of five having social medias need to be taught too so they can grow up with a stable and successful future. If you have not started already you need to start looking out for your future and focusing on your digital footprint. Remember to stay safe on the internet.
