Geography Town Project

Core Competencies

   I learned and understand that learning is continuous and my identity will continue to evolve. I understand this by learning about the different landforms, climates, and vegetations in this project. I also learn this from other projects and school-work I am assigned.

I worked with others in times of research, to achieve a goal. If i needed assistance with a fact, research or question I had people I could turn to- both peers and teachers, for help. If a peer needed help in this project I also assisted them in finding what they are looking for, or by explaining what the examples meant.

I analyzed evidence from the research I did and made judgements. In all the research resources I had including- notes, the internet, articles and other similar items, they all had something slightly different to say, so analyzing all my resources I connected them and used what I thought worked to make this project come together.

Curricular Competencies

I understood, identified and explained the reasons for the processes of climate ( rain, snowfall, temperature and winds ) on the town I chose. Doing this project, notes, and research, I learned to understand different climates and the processes, on this town I chose and others depending on their regions.

I formed new ideas to create new things. I also built on the ideas of others.  I used ideas from my resources and ideas from peers and teachers to help me construct my own work and ideas.

I considered more than one way to proceed in an investigation. When doing research I consider multiples of ways to help me complete my task, whether it is notes, textbooks, articles, or anything else I think for a minute to see what options I have for my best outcomes.
