CPR Reflection

My Learning of CPR

CPR Reflection

I learned that in CPR it requires very fast paced compressions which I did not know before because before I use to think CPR was calm proper form slow compressions to the side of the chest but its actually fast 100-120 compressions per minute between the breast bone.

A key takeaway for me from the CPR unit is using the AED as It was a huge chunk of the CPR unit and learning how to attach the pads to reset the hearts rhythm was really interesting for me.

This connects to the previously learned nutrition unit as good nutrition and eating habits can lead to better heart health and lower risk of heart problems like high cholesterol, heart attacks, and cardiac arrest.

Core Competency Reflection

Examples of where I communicated clearly and purposefully can be seen in…

When I was doing CPR on the mannequin you can see me loudly and clearly communicating with my friends calling for help and requesting them to get me and AED to help revive the patient.

In discussions and conversations, I help to build and extend understanding by…

I do this by building upon my friends ideas and going deeper into the topics that we discussed in the CPR unit. It helps make my brain work harder and gain more knowledge.

One of the ways I can see using this learning to help others is…

Knowing how to perform CPR is a great way to help others as I am trained and I can help save someones life who is going through a heart attack or cardiac arrest.
