Communication prompts

I know the group is working well together when they are taking turns doing the experiment. I can also tell that they are working well together when they are working together to answer questions by useing their own observations and explanations. Combining information is what a group is for. When I need to work collaboratively with people I don’t know well, I try to talk to them about things we have in common wether it is if they like cheese or if they have flown a kite. Finding common ground gets someone’s walls down and lets them be vulnerable to become new friends. Another way that I try and get to know people is to make jokes. Making jokes is a way of making someone laugh and when someoen is laughing it means that they are truly happy.
