Core Competency Reflection

I use evidence to make judgements or decisions as demonstrated in this… I used evidence from my observations of when the yellow PbI₂ precipitate appeared and dissolved to decide which solutions were saturated and to estimate the Ksp value. By comparing temperatures and concentrations, I could judge which test tubes were at equilibrium. This helped me apply concepts to real data and strengthened my problem-solving skills.
I show others that I truly value their contributions by… During the lab, I worked closely with my lab partner to share responsibilities. We divided tasks like recording temperature, measuring solutions, and handling glassware safely. I listened to my partner’s suggestions and made sure both of our observations were included in the data table. Working together helped us collect more accurate results and understand the procedure better.

Some short/long term goals for myself include… and my plan to achieve them is… A goal I have is to improve my confidence in explaining chemistry concepts, especially equilibrium and solubility. I will work on this by asking more questions in class, reviewing notes after labs, and using visual aids to better understand abstract ideas. This will help me feel more prepared for future chemistry labs and exams.
