Life Saving Measures!

List and briefly explain your 3 Takeaways from the CPR and Substances presentations – When learning about CPR, I learned that there is many ways to check someones pulse. Like your neck, hand, foot etc.. When your doing CPR you should have to break the person in cardiac arrest ribs, to ensure that your CPR is working correctly. I also learned that when doing CPR you no longer have to do mouth-to-mouth do to covid, you just have to do the chest compressions. For learning about substances & overdoses I learned how to correctly insert Nalaxone when someone is experiencing an overdose. I also learned that it is free to get a kit from any pharmacy, and that it is good to have. Reflect on the impact these sessions/topic may have on your life. This effects me because when i’m out and someone needs my help it is good to know this information so I can do my best to help.

I can analyze evidence to make judgements by looking closely at information to consider my opinion on the topic. Being able to analyze topics well will help me make better choices. When using this for what we have been learning it is important to analyze quickly to see if a person actually needs help and use all the proper steps we learned to check if someone actually needs it.
