Creating a positive and safe digital footprint
Internet safety is important because you protect your self and others from any sort of harm online. This includes personal information, scams etc. It is also important to not post things you will later regret because even if you delete it there is a chance someone can still have access to it. Steps you can take to stay safe online:
- Set strong passwords
- Keep your device up to date
- Keep personal information personal
- Secure your internet
Personal/Social Competency Reflection
I make digital ethical choices such as commenting on a friends post, what I post/put online for others to view, not sharing personal information, setting strong passwords, in order to make sure that I have a safe digital footprint. By making safe choices online I can help my peers by teaching them how to be safe online and have a positive digital footprint.
