For this group assignment we had to make a script of us playing parts in a restaurant, we had to use vocab from unit six which were learning at that time. If I notice that my group is struggling, that’s a sign that my group needs help and we can get support by asking the peer tutor or Mr. Vukic for help so our understanding is better. If there is disagreement within the group, I find it helpful to discuss the issue until it is resolved. In discussions and conversations, I help to build and extend understanding by making sure I understand the topic and asking questions when i’m not sure about something.
I demonstrated communication by asking for help when i needed it. I was having trouble with a type of stitch that i needed to learn to make my ornament look more appealing. I made sure to ask for help, it took me a while to understand how to do the stitch but I didn’t give up and eventually got it. Examples of where I communicate clearly and purposefully can be seen in asking for help when needed. My ornament turned out well in the end and i’m glad i used communication until I understood how to do the stitch properly.
I can ask and respond to questions to be an active, supportive listener. An example would be when we did the origami box tutorial. I made sure to listen closely so my box would turn out right and I didn’t do anything wrong. One of the ways I ensure my group is clear on the common purpose is to always make sure they aren’t confused on what we are doing in class. An example would be if I saw them struggling with the paper box I made sure to ask if they needed any help and to always help if I can. My strategies for collecting relevant information for specific tasks include making sure to watch the tutorial multiple times so I understand how to do it properly. I also made a demo box so I made sure I could make it properly. In discussions and conversations, I help to build and extend understanding by answering and asking questions whenever my peers or I am confused.
El Salvador’s main sport is soccer, what they call football. Canadas main sports are lacrosse and hockey. Some traditions in El salvador are festivals and parades they also play sports and eat traditional foods on special occasions. Canada there is also days were you celebrate and eat food and play sports. There are also parades on days such as Canada day. Both Canada and El Salvador and three strips on there flags, except with different colours.Canada has a constitutional monarchy while El Salvador has a Democratic Republic. El Salvador has a lot of mountains and so does bc, Canada. I think visiting this country would be fun but I would prefer others options. El Salvador isn’t a top pick for somewhere i would want to go for vacation because it doesn’t look as fun as Mexico etc.

I am kind to others, and support others when they need it by always being open minded by their thoughts and ideas and encouraging them.
I can form new ideas to create new things by thinking out of the box and being creative. I can also build on the ideas of others by putting everyone’s ideas and opinions into one that we can all agree on. I would ask my partner what her thoughts were on how the poster would look.
I take on roles and responsibilities in a group; I do my share by making sure i give my opinions on something were discussing, and put work and effort into group projects. An example would be how much effort i put into our poster for our country project.
One goal i have is to participate more in class discussions. One statement that i can work towards is “I participate in classroom or group discussions that improve the class, School, or community.

It was easy for my to know what my character looked like because there is a movie of the book and a picture of the character on the cover of the book.

By figuring out the most important things that happened in what I read so far and explains them in detail.

It was also very easy to tell what the setting was in the book because there is a movie version. I think the setting of the story is significant because it helps you get a better image of the book in your mind.
Explain what the word mood means and how/why you picked the song that you picked?
The word mood means the atmosphere surrounding what your book is about. the Harry Potter book are all have a mysterious and suspenseful feel so I picked a sound that I thought was mysterious.

An example of where I built upon someone else’s ideas is when I ask for others ideas or thoughts on what I could do to make my work better.

I enjoyed this science lab the most because I hadn’t done anything like it before and it was a new and cool experience. I liked seeing the different colours form with the different elements. One of the ways I ensure my group is clear on the common purpose in this lab is to make sure they understand what there doing and not confused or struggling. My strategies for collecting relevant information for specific tasks include using my communication skills to talk with group members and asking for help to make sure im on the right track.
This was my favourite recipe because it was flavourful and fun to make. I liked learning different ways to chop veggies in this recipe.
Making and Sharing Reflection
Step by step plan for productions:
Dice and slice the vegetables you choosed
Sauté the veggies over medium heat
Grate cheese
Crack an egg into a small bowl and beat/whisk it
Coat new pan with butter
Pour in egg mixture
Once egg is cooked turn off the heat and spoon in your veggies
Add cheese on top
Lift one side of the egg over the veggies
Cook for one more minute and season
Done!

I am successful when working on my own but I think it is great to use communication and talk to peers when struggling with a recipe. I have the ability to talk to my peers when struggling. If i‘m struggling when working individually I try my best to use critical thinking to solve what i’m struggling with.

Internet safety is important because you protect your self and others from any sort of harm online. This includes personal information, scams etc. It is also important to not post things you will later regret because even if you delete it there is a chance someone can still have access to it. Some examples of unsafe activities include sharing your personal information, not checking if your internet connection Is secure, participating in cyber bullying etc. Some steps you can take to stay safe are using strong passwords, not opening mail from strangers, don’t click on strange links, be smart with your personal information (aka not sharing your personal info with people), avoid using unsecured personal information.

I make digital ethical choices such as commenting on a friends post, what I post/put online for others to view, not sharing personal information, setting strong passwords, in order to make sure that I have a safe digital footprint. By making safe choices online I can help my peers by teaching them how to be safe online and have a positive digital footprint.
