Venezuela

Venezuela and Greece have many common traditions such as, many different festivals and events such as many holey days as well as costumes and dancing. The other thing they have in common is their cultural diversity, Greece and Venezuela have so many people with different cultures and religion but they also have many people who keep their traditional culture alive. Venezuela and Greece are home to many sporting traditions such as football, both country’s are very strong in this sport with many achievements across the board in athletics. Venezuela and Greece have a beautiful balance of industrial and natural beauty. They have many iconic landmarks such as Angel Falls and the Acropolis, Angel falls is the tallest uninterrupted waterfall in the world and the Acropolis is one of the most iconic buildings in history. The other similarities are the Capital cities because of how contrasted they are from their natural landscapes. The holidays in Greece and Venezuela are very different. In Greece they do not celebrate traditional Easter, they celebrate Greek Easter, in Venezuela they celebrate traditional Easter and have a morning and midnight mass where in Greece they typically only have a midnight or midday mass. Greece is famous for inventing its musical instruments where as in Venezuela they are famous for their traditional drumming at many traditional festivals and holidays. overall as of now I would not visit Venezuela because of the state of its current governing and economy but I would love to go in the future if it gets better. \

Core Competency Reflection

I can ask and respond to questions as well as being a supportive listener, I pay attention and make sure I answer any question I feel I understand in class. I challenge myself to go out of my , zone and when someone is talking I keep my eyes of the presenter or speaker.

I can work with others to achieve a goal, I believe that I work very well with others when doing projects and even regular class work. I always do my share of the work and I never put any work on others and I make sure to help my peers if they need it.

I can identify my strengths and talents, I understand that I can do many things but I also know what I need to work on and get better at. I know what I need to get help with and I understand how to build my skills so they can be better.

my goal is to be able to figure out when to stop studying. I often find that when I study I tend to get myself too stressed out and then I end up studying 5-6 hours when I know that I am ready to take the test at a 2-3 hour mark. I want to work on taking more breaks and taking some time to relax as well before tests so I am calmer and less nervous.
