How do your goals align to some of your strengths and qualities? They align because I am a very goal oriented person, if I set a goal I will do everything in my power to get there and even go beyond the goal that I set. I set goals that I know are important to me. They show that I am able to improve when I fail and that I can get help from others when I need it to get where I need to be.
– How did you make decisions based on your values? I set goals based on what I enjoy and what I know I need to improve in. I know that its important for me to get good grades and to do the best I possibly can in school and I understand that I am not the best in everything. I also value balance in my daily life. for example, I do gymnastics and I try to find time to hang out with friends as much as I can.
– How have you shown that you will manage or support your wellbeing? I make sure that I stay very active, eat healthy and nourishing foods and I make sure to get enough sleep. I try not to study past 11:00 and I make sure I am asleep by 10;00 if I don’t have any more homework or studying to do. I also take my dog out for walks and make sure to spend lots of time with my family.
– What strategies will you use to monitor and progress in your goals? I make sure to keep a record on paper of how far I have come in completing my goals. I also notice how far I have come based on my improvement in the area I set the goal in. I know I am improving when I start to see results of my hard work and when the overall subject gets better.
– How have you advocated for yourself and took ownership of your learning? I make sure to be as independent as I can in my schoolwork, however if I need help then I will ask for it so I can keep improving in that area. I make sure to talk to my teachers when I feel that I need feedback or if I want to advocate for a different grade, I only ask for that if I truly believe I deserve it. I also make sure to get all the work I have done and I also like to get ahead in my classes when its allowed.
