My 2022/2023 Year

This year I did track: I have been enjoying track and I love going out to run as it always makes me feel better. I made it to provincials and we created a sense of community.

I made many new friends in my classes: This year I made some amazing friends that are caring and kind. I have met so many new people who I love and appreciate. I made an effort to talk to these people and made sure to put effort into our relationship.

I got an A in social studies: I made sure to study hard for everything and I put maximum effort into all my assignments. I asked the teacher for help when I needed it and also worked with friends on some assignments.

I want to get faster in track
I am going to join club track and make sure continue to manage track and gymnastics so I do not tire myself out, over the summer I am also going to continue to go to the gym as well as nourish my body so I can preform at my best.
I want to continue my good gradesI am going to review my work three times a week and continue to keep my brain fresh by reading, goin over notes and continue to have a good work ethic.
I want to learn how to cook more advanced dishesDuring the summer I am going to help my parents prepare dinner whenever I am not at my sport and I am going to follow cookbooks and online recopies.
I want to grow my understanding of the places that I will be traveling toI am going to record my trip through video’s and pictures. I am also going to write about where I am going as well as doing research about the places and looking at its history.

my goals worksheet

How do your goals align to some of your strengths and qualities? They align because I am a very goal oriented person, if I set a goal I will do everything in my power to get there and even go beyond the goal that I set. I set goals that I know are important to me. They show that I am able to improve when I fail and that I can get help from others when I need it to get where I need to be.

– How did you make decisions based on your values? I set goals based on what I enjoy and what I know I need to improve in. I know that its important for me to get good grades and to do the best I possibly can in school and I understand that I am not the best in everything. I also value balance in my daily life. for example, I do gymnastics and I try to find time to hang out with friends as much as I can.

– How have you shown that you will manage or support your wellbeing? I make sure that I stay very active, eat healthy and nourishing foods and I make sure to get enough sleep. I try not to study past 11:00 and I make sure I am asleep by 10;00 if I don’t have any more homework or studying to do. I also take my dog out for walks and make sure to spend lots of time with my family.

– What strategies will you use to monitor and progress in your goals? I make sure to keep a record on paper of how far I have come in completing my goals. I also notice how far I have come based on my improvement in the area I set the goal in. I know I am improving when I start to see results of my hard work and when the overall subject gets better.

– How have you advocated for yourself and took ownership of your learning? I make sure to be as independent as I can in my schoolwork, however if I need help then I will ask for it so I can keep improving in that area. I make sure to talk to my teachers when I feel that I need feedback or if I want to advocate for a different grade, I only ask for that if I truly believe I deserve it. I also make sure to get all the work I have done and I also like to get ahead in my classes when its allowed.

Technology And Wellbeing Reflection

As a person who feels the effects of stress heavily, my main de-stressors are, doing some exercise, reading a book, doing yoga. However, I would say gymnastics help me the most, I am in the gymnastics gym for hours and hours every week and it really helps me get my mind off things. For me personally I feel that technology is a two-way street, I used to sit on my phone for hours comparing myself to other people I had never even met before, after I got into taking care of myself, I started to use tech in a more positive way. Technology can help support your wellbeing because there are so many resources on the internet that can help you feel better.

I am kind to others, and support others when they need it. When someone is confused about something that we are doing, I always help them to understand it better. If a person does not have a partner or if they need help setting something up, I do not ignore them.

I find it easy to be part of a group. In anything I enjoy being with a group. I think I work well with a group because I pull my weight and don’t leave it for others.

I participate in classroom or group activities that improve the class, school, or community. In all my classes I participate in the group activity’s even if it’s not my favorite thing, I always try my best and I am a positive teammate.
