CLE 10: Final Reflections

Semester Reflection

My Reflections

  1. What was the topic of your project?

This semester, I completed the My Resume project, which was about learning and finding skills you have and breaking each skill apart, learning what is useless for a job and what you can put on a resume that would be a useful skill for that job.

  1. How did this project help you think about what actions, decisions, or ideas you want to consider for the future.

This project made me consider how much I need a job and how useful it would be to start saving up money now. Most kids my age already have jobs to start racking up their own resumes for stuff like college, future jobs, savings, etc. I need to do this soon to work towards a car, as I’d like to get one before college to drive to school and home whenever I want to.

  1. Explain how your ideas and use concrete evidence. Give an example of a time you did this.

I really enjoyed this project because it purely was based around me and learning what different skills I have that can come out of stuff not even related to a job, such as my hockey and how it proves I can be a leader and team player.

  1. Explain your thinking: in what ways is this significant and relevant to life in 2024?

This project was relevant to me because it will stay with me my whole life, as I might want to have the same job for 20 years and decide to quit and start something completely new where I’ll need to take skills from my previous job that would help me succeed in whatever it is else I want to pursue.

Core Competency Reflection

An example of where I built upon someone else’s ideas is how I laid out my resume planning. Cameron gave me an idea of putting seperate skills on the side of my resume, and then explaining them in bigger details on the side.

An example of where I shared my ideas was when I asked Mr. Howitt how you can find these little skills in big skills, such as being a top athlete and travelling around different parts of the USA and Canada that can help me put stuff like that into my resume.

I respectfully advocate for my needs by making sure to ask questions whenever I dont get something, and I do so by putting my hand up and asking for help if I think its something that if i get it wrong it can mess up an assignment/project.
