My Grade 9 Year
This year I overcame many challenges that were school related. Some of the challenges were easier than others but I came up with techniques to be successful. I ended up getting a good mark in Math class because I studied in different ways like reviewing the work for about 15 minutes each day. I also thought going into a new school was going to be hard but it has been enjoyable to interact with and meet new people. I’m most proud of my improvement in math this year because I started with not much knowledge and went on to learn lots of new valuable things.
A Useful Educational Website
I chose the BC Government website for education because it was a useful tool for me this school year. This website tells you about the curriculum for your grade. I used this website when we had an optional project on any topic from the Grade 9 Curriculum in Science.
A Useful Educational Video
The video I chose was this Ionic and Covalent bonding Chemistry video. I chose this one because it helped me out during our Chemistry unit. I watched this video and made some notes and I got a high mark because of my extra studying.
A Useful Educational Image
I chose to insert a picture with a man welding because of my Metal shop class. In our class we learned to safely operate different hand tools and power tools. So far we have made aluminum and brass rings and sheet metal boxes by using mostly hand tools like files, saws and vices to hold our material. This photos connects with me because the metal shop is a fun and interactive place to work in.
An Inspirational Quote
“The road to success is always under construction.” -David Goggins
The quote i chose was from David Goggin’s and it reads “the road to success is always under construction.” It essentially means to keep trying at whatever you are doing and it takes lots of work to reach the best version of something. This is inspirational because it is a good idea to keep in your mind when you feel like giving up on a task.
