Communication

The core competency I chose was communication, or specifically collaboration. My I can statement was: I can work with others to achieve a goal. The artifact I showed was a good titration during my lab, where me and my partner were able to achieve through taking turns titrating the HCl with the NaOH. For example, while one person would hold and swirl the flask, the other would control the amount of NaOH going in the flask. We also asked questions when we were confused and gave advice to each other when needed, ensuring we had a successful titration. These were crucial parts of the process as titrations require organization, accuracy, precision, and teamwork. I was able to improve some skills during this lab, which include communication and honesty. I made sure to speak up when I thought the titration was almost done, and my partner did the same. An area I could continue to grow in is advocating for myself because there were some moments I wanted to speak up about something but was too nervous to do so.
