Marketing Edublog Post

Core Competency “I can” statement Artifact Reflection
Communication: collaborating I contribute during group activities with peers and share roles and responsibilities to achieve goals. The first group project with Aiden on improving the marketing mix. For the first group project, I separated the tasks accordingly and gave quality work in the task I was assigned. I shared my concerns with my partner and communicated accordingly to what needs had to be met. And for every project after that, I gave in to quality work to ensure that I was not the one holding the group back from a good mark.
Thinking: Critical and reflective thinking I can explore During the ethics project, I voiced with my partner whether we should use a company as an example of good or bad work ethics.  I can confidently voice my opinion with my peers during a group project about whether I like something or not. It is important for all parties to show their point of view in a group project. For everything to go smoothly, everyone needs to be within agreement. If we had someone present something that they did not agree with, then how could they ever give their max effort into something they do not fully support?
Personal & Social: Personal awareness and responsibility  I can ask questions and consider options. I can use my observations, experience, and imagination to draw conclusions and make judgment During the project on ethics, I shut down ideas from my partner, but also accepted other ideas from him. I like to believe I am an open-minded person; I often go back on opinions I strongly believed to be true. Not because I had no confidence in what I thought, but because I listen to when people are talking to me, and I take in their point of view, and if their arguments hold more merit than mine, I will recant my judgment. But if the opposite is what happens, and my opinion still has a base to stand on, I will stay true to my original thought.
