Personal Awareness and Responsibility: How I manage school-related stress

When I get stuck on a problem, I have strategies for what to do next. They include taking a break from doing homework and if it is during an exam/test, I skip the question and go back to it near the end. If I am doing homework and get stuck I typically take a 10 – 15 minute break, a real break, where I can go on my phone.

I can prevent some school-related stress by doing activities that I enjoy, such as swimming and playing video games.

When I need to boost my mood or re-focus, I eat a snack. Normally I focus better when I’m eating a snack or having a drink.

When I am feeling down about school, I remind myself that school isn’t the only thing that matters and I can enjoy life without having perfect grades
