Positive Learner Identity

Using feedback to improve is a skill that is one of my strengths.

During english 12 this semester i was faced with multiple literary paragraphs, from not knowing much about how to write them at the start, to acing the final write we did. I felt very proud of myself, but it wouldn’t have happened if it wasn’t for my teachers feedback, which pushed me to succeed to my full potential.

Core Competency Reflection

I can identify ways in which my strengths can help me meet challenges, and how my challenges can be opportunities for growth. faced with challenges, the way i like to deal with them is through trial and error. This skill has helped me throughout my entire high school career, and has pushed me to be as best as i can in the classroom.

What does it mean to be disciplined in math? How do you show you are disciplined in this course?

For me, being disciplined in this course is not bragging about what mark i got or what i have achieved in this course. i think that being disciplined is a good way to be in this class.

What is your strength in group work? How do you use this to actively contribute during group work activities?

my strengths when working in groups is connecting with my group partners to further our understanding for the unit. i like working in groups because i can ask questions and my group members can tell me what i want to know easily, working in groups helps me understand concepts better.

Scones+Fruit Compote

Making And Sharing Refelction

Use food materials in ways that minimize waste

there was extra eggs left over so i used it for extra polish on top of the scones

Decide on how and with whom to share prepared food products.

eating these scones with my table group allowed us to decide on what we could’ve done better or what we did that was perfect.

when we are washing and drying our dirty dishes, i can clearly communicate with my table group to figure who is doing what, such as; who is the dish washer? dryer? ect..

Following each recipe responsibly, it helps me understand how to complete each recipe thoroughly. following each step to make sure i have done everything correct. this also helps me in the future so i can make a recipe again.

The ways I communicate while cooking differ from how I communicate at ____ (soccer/ work/ hockey/ piano lessons/ family events/etc) in these ways:

in the kitchen i communicate in a respectful manner where as at soccer i might be a little more hands on with my communication.

One goal i have for myself going forward is to be able to work with my table group members a little better.

An example of where I built upon someone else’s ideas is… This was not my idea fully, it was part of a story i heard when i was younger.

Some skills I have developed to make my creative activities better are… learning how to go into full detail explaining the noises, feelings, and scenery.

I am so curious about … further writing processes and what steps i take to make a better story.
