Reflection on my progress and learning in French

I believe that, from day one to now, I have improved my writing skills in French. One thing that surprised me was how welcoming this class felt. Something I still find challenging is remembering the genders of objects, as in English, we don’t have that.

For this project, I created a family tree using Minecraft. After building the tree, I took screenshots and imported them into CapCut, where I added photos of my family members onto the apples. I also recorded a voiceover, included subtitles, and added transitions to create a complete video.

Throughout the project, I demonstrated strong work habits, especially with time management. In terms of core competencies, I used my creative thinking by choosing a unique and engaging way to present my family tree. I also used reflective thinking when I realized I needed to adjust my approach partway through the process.

I think making the project a video rather than presenting it live was a good decision because it allowed my message to be clearly understood. If I were to do this project again, I would explore a different way to show how the apples are connected to better represent the structure of a family tree.
