Curricular Competency Reflection

  I understood, identified and explained the reasons for the processes of climate ( rain, snowfall, temperature and winds ) on the town I chose.

I understood, identified and explained how those climate characteristics created economic opportunities either directly or indirectly.

I learned how to put this into a power point map and explain it.

Core Competency Reflection

I can inquire into and present on topics of interest and topics related to my studies. I summarized my research and knowledge in my powerpoint.

I can understand and share information about a topic of interest in a clear, organized way. I wrote in detail about the different features of our town in separate slides in my power point.

I can persevere with challenging tasks and take ownership of my goals, learning and behavior. Even though Social Studies is not one of my strong suits, I still try to finish assignments to the best of my abilities.

I can tell the difference between facts and opinions. While researching during this project, I realized a lot of the things said on the internet about my town was quite minimal since it is not very big. There were a variety of both facts and opinions but not much.

Goal

I can show a sense of accomplishment and joy. I take pride in my work and myself. I often don’t think my work is good enough espeically in socials where I am weak, but I realize that it does me no good and I should be proud of myself for finishing it even though it is not the best.
