French 9 Reflection

My Progress

This year I have learned a lot in French. In Grade 7 all we did was go on duo lingo, after awhile I was able to recognise and spell words but I had no idea how to pronounce anything correctly. I would pronounce things the way I thought just by reading and looking at the words. Grade 8 was a little bit better, we did project but mostly it was people using google to translate sentences.

This year we went over things I had previously learned but I also learned a lot more. we talked in-depth about houses (ex. number of floors, rooms etc.), family, possessive adjectives relating to family and much more. I had some confidence coming into this course but not much, I have improved my skills throughout the semester and have learned a lot more.

I am proud of our French Skit.

My partner and I had to write an original restaurant skit, which includes verbs and adjectives we had previously learned. we were not aloud to have our script written out in French for our presentation. we were only aloud English cue cards, so we had to memorise all our lines. I used my class time well, we shared responsibilities equal between the two of us. I gave Ideas and my partner and I were able to translate them and add more details. we were able to get our script done within 2-3 days after getting the assignment.

Communication was a big part of creating our skit. we communicated our ideas with each other as well as telling each other when one of didn’t like something or wanted to change something. if I was going to make the skit again I would change anything, I like our script, I worked well with my partner and I had fun making and performing it.
