Socials 10 Mid-Term Assessment

Cause and Consequence

For my propaganda I made an environment related poster, with the goal of recruiting the public in a campaign to protect the environment by taking pollution, global warming, deforestation, and ocean acidification into account. I included visual aspects of my poster of Earth depicted in the future as potential consequences of environmental concerns. So, this visual representation demonstrated my abilities to portray a cause and consequence relationship issues related to the environment.

One of my work’s strengths is displaying relevant issues faced currently with a call-to-action message saying, “to save your resources and urgency of, “time is ticking.” This was to attract the audience’s attention with a message about the planet’s potential future, attempting to make a personal connection with the audience’s responsibility. For areas of growth, I should’ve applied message that considers evidence-based backing, and political/social contexts to improve the effectiveness of swaying the audience for example for WW1 during that period, I can make the campaign more relatable by connecting it to the dominate sense of civic responsibly at the time and message to support it. This would improve my inquiry/evidence and ethical judgment abilities as having these supporting factors can make the messages more realistic.
