Technology and Wellbeing Reflection

For me, this year has been one of the most stressful years of my life, from a global pandemic, to starting a new school, it has been really tough. Even with all of the change, one thing that has stayed the same is technology. Technology can be both helpful and hurtful when it comes to stress. For example, technology (specifically social media) can cause me extra stress by blowing problems way out of proportion, or showing me things that are not true. Technology has also been a super big help with decreasing my stress levels this year, by connecting me with family that I would not have been able to see otherwise, and offering meditation apps to cope with stress. I’d say that when it comes to stress, technology hurts more than helps, and it can be really refreshing to go outside and take a walk.
