My Movie

Character, Setting, and Mood

In most novels, the author will give a brief description of a character, often when they first appear in the literature. We used this brief description of our character, Gottschalk, to determine how we would create our avatar. Along with giving a brief description of characters, authors will also often describe the scenery, emotions, and when the book takes place. By observing those key points you can easily figure out the setting a novel. The reason why we picked this song is it fits with our characters overall effect on the novel. I think the music sounds a bit like elevator music, or a song you may hear in the background, but not fully notice, just like our character. Gottschalk shows up for a little while, and then he is gone, never to appear in the novel again.

Core Competency Reflection

-Examples of where I communicate clearly and purposefully can be seen in the writing and formatting of the PowerPoint. I made sure that any changes I thought should be made were, and did so respectfully.

-I can contribute to and work with criteria to improve my own work; evidence of that is how I added extra setting slides, and the citation slide.

-When I need to boost my mood or re-focus, I take a break. If my mind isn’t clear before I begin to work, it becomes difficult for me to properly focus on one task.

-When I need to work collaboratively with people I don’t know well, I try to get to know them better by playing games. I enjoy games, and what better way to break the ice than to play 20 questions?

-Examples of where I communicate clearly and purposefully can be seen in the conclusion slide when I added an extra sentence based off of what I believed should be part of the conclusion while still including my other group members ideas.
