Making and Sharing Reflection

i made this recipe with my foods partner, this was for a class challenge. this was a very fun recipe to make we tried to remake crumble cookie with this. we did make a few changes we made our measurements bigger so we could have more cookies. while making this we had to use our hand mixer for most of the mixing and with the icing and we used the stove to bake the cookies. we both worked very well together and these cookies turned out to taste so good.

Examples of where I communicate clearly and purposefully can be seen in when i’m making sure we both knew what we were doing and made sure both understood our tasks.

While working in the kitchen, I help to build and extend understanding by whenever i needed help with a certain part of the cookies, my partner was very understanding and always helped me whenever i needed a bit of help

If there is disagreement within the group, I find it helpful to make sure that we can meet in the middle where we can compromise and find something we both wanted to do so we are both happy in the end

When I need to work collaboratively with people I don’t know well, I would introduce myself and make sure we both are comfortable with each other so we can work well.

one goal that i have is to try to focus more in class so i’m not making as many mistakes as i did in the kitchen, i’m going work on that goal alot for next year, this can also help improve my mark in this class.

Persuasion and Advertisement Unit Reflection

Why is it important to remember who benefits from the advertisement when you view an advertisement?

explain why it is effective in persuading you/an audience: logical, ethical, emotional i would emotional would be the most effective, you would want your audience to feel something while watching your add instead of them not caring. when they feel emotional about the add they might want to invest.

Choose an advertising technique and explain why it is effective in selling a product. for us a effective technique was bandwagon, this help with our add because we wanted to focus on the now and what people want to “fit in” and using the bandwagoning was very effective for us.

One strategy or activity that stimulated my imagination on this project was me and my partner wanted to focus on what people would want now, so then thought of iphones something lots of people of have and love.

One of the ways I ensured my group was clear on what we were doing was to i made sure me and my partner sat down and made sure we both knew what we were doing and if my partner was confused i would make sure to help her understand.

Some things I thought about when dividing tasks among my group members was i wanted to make it even and fair but while i made the video for us i thought i would give her the more “challenging slides” to do while i gave myself something a bit easier to make it fair.

my first year at centennial has been such a memorable year, I’ve met so many new people and this school has opened up so many new opportunities for me. one this that I enjoyed the most was playing for the girls basketball team, this year was way more stressful though with all the work and with basketball it was all a lot to take in, way harder on me then middle school. But high school has been so much fun, all of my teachers and coach have been so much help with everything that went on. but over all my first year of High School was really good.

i don’t have a video on my phone but this video is about the flaming metals lab we did last semester, we put certain liquids on Q-Tip’s and we held it over a flame and each liquid showed a different color on the flame .

this picture is our school basketball winning a banner and making it to Fraser Norths, i also picked this image because playing basketball was probably the best thing that i did this year, so many memories we made together and I’m so excited to play here for next years season.

Reflection Questions

A) How did the use of AI assist you in developing this project? for me the AI help with the information it was way easier for me to find exactly what i was looking for.

B) How did you ensure that the work you created was still your own, rather than just a product of the AI? i made sure that it was all put in my own words, i worded it differently while still usings the AIs help with finding all the info i needed.

C) Did you agree with the position you had to argue? Why or why not? i think the side that i got was good for me either way i would have been good with either topic.

Competency Reflection

My strategies for collecting relevant information for specific tasks include, i make a word document and i put what i think is important information on there then i form what i need to write out.

One of the ways I ensure my group is clear on the common purpose is to make sure we all sit down and talk about who is doing what and making sure everyone does there part, and if someone doesn’t understand what they are suppose to do its better if you try your best to explain it to them.

When I need to work collaboratively with people I don’t know well, I make sure they get to know me so its not complete silence.
