Communication & Collaboration

I showed that I can take on roles and responsibilities in a group and do my share during the titration lab (Lab 20C). My partner and I split up the work so that it was fair and balanced. We both focused on tasks we felt most confident in based on our previous technique marks. My partner handled transferring the solution and I focused on reading the burette. We took turns adding drops of phenolphthalein to the solution to carefully observe the colour change. This allowed us to work more efficiently and confidently. When we ran out of time and couldn’t complete all three trials together, I took responsibility for completing one trial the next day during class, and my partner did the same. This allowed us to gather enough data to calculate the average for the NaOH concentration. We both were able to reach the light pink on our own and together, which showed that we understood the process well. This lab helped me get better at working with others and solving problems. I also learned how important careful measurements and teamwork are for getting good results.

One strategy or activity that stimulates my imagination is… a strategy I do is I close my eyes and drown out the noise with music or without and breathe to clear my head. this helped me with my written project because it allowed new ideas to flow through my head and add to my story.

When I need to boost my mood or re-focus, I… I find that stretching and listening to music helped me re-focus when I got off task and boost my mood. Listening to music as I was making this story really helped me complete it faster, I felt like it generated more ideas into my head.

when I need to boost my mood or re-focus , I listen to music or go outing play soccer. Music and soccer are some of my passions that make me happy and help clear my head so I’m not so off task. A future plan for me is to get my L when I turn 16 and to get a soccer scholarship.

French 9 Reflection

From day one to now I have improved my spelling and speaking. Knowing where and which way an accent goes is still kind of challenging. The very first day I only knew the minimum, bonjour, Oui, Non ,etc… now on the last day I know way more which I’m proud of.

a project I enjoyed was the skit. The skit helped me out of my comfort zone because I had to speech in front of the teacher which I normally have a great fear of doing. It also helped me with having to memorize the script and only being able to see the English version of my sentences.me

About Me

My Grade 9 Year

Going into grade 9 I was a bit nervous with my classes and making friends with others but a few months in the nerves went away and I started enjoying school. This year I have enjoyed connecting and bonding with others to create friendships.

From chapter one I have learned the forms of business organizations, advantages and disadvantages of business organizations , and if its a service or goods business. This helped me with my project because while I was researching about Uber I found advantages that Uber has that their competition doesn’t and makes Uber more popular.

Justification

I decided to put must of it in the GIC because its safer than stocks but I put a bit in the stocks because it’s a little risk I’m willing to take.

GIC strengths– fixed term and interest. you will know exactly when your GIC will expire and how much interest you’ll earn at the end of the term.

weakness- low returns. GICs are safe, but the returns are very low compared to other kinds of investments.

Stocks strengths – help you build your savings, protect your money from inflation and taxes, and maximize income from your investments

weakness- Stock prices are risky and unstable. Prices can be rising and declining quickly.

Working with a group was good. I found it easier than if I did it myself because it was able to learn other ways to find solutions.

By studying more and taking notes it will help me get a better grade and get smarter. Getting my homework time and making a routine so I stress less about school and get behind. I can manage and support my well being by getting lots of rest in the weekends and weekdays so I’m awake for school and ready to learn. I can monitor and progress my goals by managing my screen time which will allow me to focus more.
