Creative Writing 10

core competency Self Assessment

Communication

The ways I communicate in school are much different than how i communicate in sports such as soccer. soccer is my favorite sport and i have played for 12 years. I have always played on a high level team and am known as a leader with my loud voice on the field. At school I’m still confident and outgoing but not as vocal. I find school doesn’t need the same communication and loud voice so i don’t speak as much. But for example when we have group projects i try to step up and talk more to get a better conversation going. the main difference is soccer needs more communication so that’s why i communicate more.

examples of where i communicate clearly and purposely are seen in my work when i relate to something. if I’m writing an English paper or new math i have never learned i don’t relate to it as well so i have a hard time communicating. but if i am given freedom on what to write i feel i express my thoughts better because its something i enjoy. one example where i don’t think i communicated strongly is when we had to write about the Indian horse book. i wasn’t able to express my thoughts because i didn’t relate relate.

CPR reflection

My learning of CPR

CPR REFLECTION

i learned how to give CPR and use an AED

a key Takeaway is that u should always know how to use CPR because anything can happen

CPR helps deliver oxygen to tissues, especially the brain, where oxygen and glucose are critical for energy in your body. The nutrition unit comes into play as the body will also need nutrients to restore normal metabolic processes after the shock of the cardiac arrest and the CPR intervention.

core competency reflection

  • Examples of where I communicated clearly and purposefully can be seen in… the CPR unit is when we had to do the physical test and communicated with my group. i asked them to get help call 911 and to get an AED
  • In discussions and conversations, I help to build and extend understanding by helping my group understand the concept and keeping them interested

Domain and Range

𝑦=(𝑥+1)(𝑥−1)

Domain: xeR

Range: -1 < =y

Domain refers to the set of all possible input values for which the function is defined. In simpler terms, it’s the range of values you can put into the function.

Range is the set of all possible output values (often represented as yyy) that the function can produce. It’s what you get when you apply the function to the inputs from the domain.

this is a function but not one to one because y values repeats more than once

1 I used the same mathimatical idea in finding the domain and range.

2 i used mathimatical vocabulary in explaining what domain and range is.

3 i used the graph to help me better understand the equation better and help me find the domain and range.

My grade 9 year

this year I learned lots throughout grade 9. I had many fun projects but also a lot of challenging ones. this year pushed me to a harder working student with many more tests and assignments than my past years. one of my stretches coming into this year was English, my grammar had been very poor I my writing skills were non detailed and uninteresting. I overcame this challenge by reading other people’s story’s/books. I would say my writing skills have improved dramatically and am going to continue practicing. this year I’ve participated in the soccer program which helped gain skill I’m soccer but also made me a lot of new friends. we were knocked out in the second round of playoffs, but I still had an amazing time.

social studies 9: final reflection

Semester Reflection

Novel study

this semester i completed an independent novel study by reading a book taken place in the early 1800s called Tom sawyer. This book was about a boy and his friends exploring their own little town and showing how much different the 1800s was.. i feel if people nowadays tried to emulate the things tom and his friends did would be much harder now like disappearing or stealing gold which would be much more difficult because of cameras and other new technology. a time when i used my ideas and evidence bes was when writing our novel study papers each week. I made sure to take time on each question and put extra quotes. in todays life doing what tom did would be extremely hard and you would suffer a lot of consequences for lying and stealing and would face lots of jail time for it.

Core Competencies

2 i have valuable ideas to share about, i do so by comparing my work with someone else’s share and see what i can improve on.

3 while completing my assignment i faced uncertainty so i found more descriptive words and got my mom to check over my writing.

Advertisement persuasion project

My Advertisement

persuasion project advertisement techniques

persuasion project unit reflection

why is it important to remember who benefits from the advertisement?

it is very important for you to know who benefits because it gives you an understanding of who you are giving your money to and who is making your product so you know its coming from a good place

emotional is one of the best persuasion techniques because it makes you not think but just make your emotions talk at the moment when your buying the product.

I knew my group is working well together when I heard/ saw…

my groupmate and i bouncing ideas of each other. we started off wanting to do cleats but ended up doing a centennial jacket which was probably more of an effective project than cleats.

· An example of where I built upon someone else’s ideas is

is when we were doing the actual add and roman was telling me to build a face and we came up with Michael jordan. we were first going to do a regular person but realized if we put jordan that would be another technique.
