With one click of a button, the internet provides us with infinite information. However it is important to know there are also many of dangers that we need to protect ourselves from. Anything we post online stays online forever and could come back to haunt you. Negative posts or images could make things more difficult in the future such as getting a job or how we’re treated. There’s no way to take back what we say with our online comments. Cyberbullying is the biggest negative internet problem amongst teens. Amanda Todd is an example of someone that was cyber bullied. She was harassed by an online predator which tragically resulted in her taking her own life. Some of the ways you can avoid these negative choices are by making private accounts, making good decisions on who you talk to and not taking pictures of inappropriate things. Additionally, positive comments don’t hurt anyone like negative comments could. Internet safety and protecting yourself is really important for all these reasons.
