Core Competency Reflection

Examples of where I communicated clearly and purposefully in GS12 can be seen in my Righteous Among the Nations project where I used my communication skills to connect with my group mates to organize our project and divide the work.

In GS12, I use evidence to make judgements or decisions as demonstrated in this in my Romeo Dallire journal where I provided evidence from interviews and articles on the subject to prove if he was responsible or not for the lives that were lost during the Rwandan genocide.

If I had to give academic advice to students starting out in Grade 9, I would say develop good studying habits.

Some work habits that worked well for me this semester in Genocide Studies 12 were finding all the answers to the questions on the test outline and writing them out in a word document.

My goal is to improve my work habits and get my assignments done earlier and to start studying sooner. Fulfilling this goal will not only improve my academic life but also improve my personal life, especially my mental health. The way I can achieve this goal is by being more mindful of due dates.
