Communication/Thinking

Photo of our pig mid dissection
I can collaborate with my partner to achieve the goal of dissecting our pig and identifying the different structures together. Me and my partner would divide the work load equally and frequently touch bases with each other to ensure things were on track. We also were able to easily adapt to switching tasks and picking up extra work if it was too much for the other. The fetal pig lab is very hands on so we also harnessed the ability to work on dissecting the pig simultaneously.
I can also use my critical thinking skills to navigate the dissection in an efficient way. If one tool wasn’t doing the job properly or was making the task too complicated, I would switch it to a better suited option. Me and my partner would also adapt the dissection plan to fit the structure of our pig better since all pigs are slightly different, ours in particular had most of its lower organs shifted further down. I also used my critical thinking skills to locate and identify different structures of the pig.
