For my first year of high school I have been enjoying it and has been easier then i thought going compared to what i thought it would be, I just need to focus but its hard for me. My grades have gone down since grade 8 because its harder for me to focus but with all the great teachers my grades are going up for the starts of the semester. A challenge i have overcame this year was getting used to how fast we go through units. There is less time to get work done but the flex blocks it makes getting everything done a lot easier. This year I have loved the lunch block. I love having the freedom to go where ever I want and even just going on walks helps me to clear my mind but i dont think its long enough so there are some restrictions on where I can go.
YouTube is a website most people know it is used for entertainment but it can also be used to learn, I am a visual learner so it really helps my teachers use it a lot to make learning less boring.
I chose this video because my teacher showed me it last semester and it helped me get a proficient becuase polynomials unit is the base and the most important unit.

Using Feedback to improve
In math class, it started out with me not really studying because I was used to middle school, where we didn’t have to study. My mom offered some consequences that motivated me to do better, so I started using my LEC block, asking for help, going to tutoring, and using my class time well. My grades went up significantly.
The person I am taking out for a special day is my mom I love my mom and she does everything for me so for mothers day I am going to everything I can to make it special for her. First i am going to take her to cactus club it is her favorite restaurant, we are both going to get steak and mushrooms and a soul revival drink which adds up to $89.50 then after that we are going to go to rocky point and get her favorite icecream cookie dough and mine rocky road, this will be $11.98 for both. Next we are going to go go karting because i know she loves racing and go karts and it will be $59.99 for the both of us. Lastly I am going to take her to the movies to see 5 nights at freddy’s and the tickets will cost us $31.45 with the food it will be $85.80

1.) I used 92% of my budget which is a total of $276 including tax.
2.) One thing I would of done differently if I only had $100 is make my mom food and coffee for breakfast in bed and then take her out to dinner later at night.
3.) If I had $500 I would take my mom out to a fancy restaurant, get VIP movie seats, and get her a gift.
Why did you choose this specific person? I chose my mom because she has been there for me my whole life and i love her more than anything.
Why do you believe they deserve to be celebrated? I believe she deserves to be celebrated because she does everything for everybody and doesn’t get much in return.
Why did you choose to spend your budget the way you did? What factors went into your decisions? All my decisions were made off of past experiences I’ve had with my mom that I know she loves.

When I look at how I spend my time on a typical weekday, I feel like i could’ve used my time more efficiently, I would like to spend more of my time doing things like practicing lacrosse, studying, or school work. Internet safety is important because it helps protect our personal information and keeps us safe online. if you personal information is exposed it can lead to bad things such as identity theft, fraud and invasion of privacy.

don’t open mail from strangers, if you get a phishing (trying to lure you) email with malware attached, you don’t have to download the attachment for it to do damage to your home network
Make sure your devices are up to date, If you don’t have your security software, web browsers, and devices set to update automatically, turn them on now they often include critical fixes for any security problems that may have been on in your programs or devices.
Use strong passwords, if you use strong passwords it is harder for hackers to access your information and use it for identity theft.

By doing online I make a positive difference to my peers.
I know that my digital footprint can have both positive and negative consequences, including getting fired and getting hired so I adjust my post to only have a positive outcome.
I make digital ethical choices such as considering commenting on others posts in order to be positive online,
I think my experiences as a digital citizen, such as using social media influenced my choice of working out, social media influencers made me want to improve my performance by posting different ways to improve myself
