I like the quote “Si vis pacem, para bellum.” quite a lot. It is something our progressive politicians in the Republic of Korea must keep in their minds and follow. I always put this quote in my mind and remind myself of this everytime I’m in comfort and peace. Just so I can prepare for what might come next. I also like the quote “If you win, you need not to explain. If you lose, you should not be there to explain.”. I am not a national socialist, nor am I a Nazi supporter. However, I do like this quote which was said by Hitler himself. Hitler was the most extreme form of the “Do it, or Die” narrative that I could ever find. This quote encourages me to think that I must put all efforts into doing something, and if I’m not capable of finishing it, then I must not even start. These are the reasons why I chose these two quotes as my favourite quotes.
