Core Competency – Communication

Communication played a huge role for the success of our group project. While we made good use of our time in class, it was not enough for us to finish our project. With the help of online messaging apps, we were able to keep each other updated on our progressions and plan changes. Communication by the use of online messaging apps helped us form ideas, create a well organized map on minecraft, and have little to no errors during the making of the project.

Core Competency – Thinking

Our shared thoughts and ideas created the beautiful map on minecraft that had everything required to meet the criteria of the project. we made good connections by sharing our thoughts and planning the creation of the project, the combined creativity of our group helped create the working wind turbine, a great diagram of how the electricity is transferred throughout the city by building realistic looking substations, and the sustainable structures that showed different forms of energy within, and the signs that helps with explaining the energy transfers and transformations. Without our different ideas, the project would not turn out to be as creative and informational as it is.

Core Competency – Personal and Social

I myself made a good contribution to the project and brought positivity within the group. We all had our own tasks to do for the project and I found myself to be successful in accomplishing my tasks and providing no hassle for my fellow group members. I gave my full attention to the project work and helped my groupmates when they needed it, I put effort into my creations in the project and the creation of the video. Even though I made my own video for the project, I realized an hour before the due date that the whole group itself was supposed to participate in the video, short on time to create the video for the project and having one less group member due to an appointment, Ishen and I were able to create a video of us together during the last minutes of work time. I had repurposed some of my lines, from my old video and it all worked out in the end. I hope in the next projects to come, I can provide more clarity between group members, and thoroughly read the criteria before proceeding with my work.
