What was something you learned that you didn’t know or consider before?
I hadn’t known the difference between cardiac arrest and a heart attack prior to this experience, and had thought they were the same thing.
What is a key takeaway from the Theory or Practical CPR unit?
I learned that I have to compress 100 times in 1 minute and give 2 rescue breaths every 30 compressions.
How does this unit connect to the nutrition unit learned previously?
With proper nutrition, you can eliminate risk factors that cause the need for CPR in the first place.
Core Competency Reflection
1. One of the ways I can see using this learning to help others is when somebody I know and love is in cardiac arrest. This is a skill that can save lives, and if I could save a life of a loved one, I would be extremely happy.
2. Examples of where I communicated clearly and purposefully can be seen in the times I have asked my peers questions about the given subject, instead of using my phone and AI. I believe that communication is incredibly important, and getting to practice that in this subject was very nice.
3. I can describe how learning about CPR relates to my life
This unit in CPR was very relatable for me, as my dad had once had to had CPR preformed on him while he was at work, and while I personally wasn’t there, I still have fears that he might go through cardiac arrest again. This unit in CPR has alleviated my fears a little bit, as i can now do something if it occurs once more.
Throughout the Project, I demonstrated that I could think critically by reflecting on myself and my passions. Because of the limited space, I had to critically think about what ideas reflected me as a person the most and focus on those ideas. A skill developed during the process was the ability to assess the importance of certain ideas and weigh them against each other. how important was this idea compared to another one? which one reflected me the most? these were some questions I asked myself while finishing the project assigned to me and my peers, all of them contributing to my ability to think critically.
I’ve started doing chores around the age of eight, and would do things like wash the dishes, sweep the floors, fold the laundry. I think that Japanese peoples ideal of independence is justified, as doing chores at a younger age establishes a routine enabling parents to work overtime if needed without worrying about their house and children. routinely doing chores makes life easier when moving out, doing certain things and certain times every week instead of instead of spontaneously doing them whenever you remember makes life a lot less stressful and more organized. I first started using transit alone around when i was 14. i started going places alone at around the same time. However, i started going to school alone in middle school, though it was because school was one block away.
Sandwiches were first marketed in Japan as a new, trendy, western product. However, its portability and convenience are what really made sandwiches take off in Japan. Because many Japanese chefs put heavy emphasis on attention to detail and quality, a belief known as seimitsu, where everything has to be made with utmost precision, creating sandwiches in Japan has become somewhat of an art. However, in Canada, people are less detail orientated, and the majority of products are mass produced, making a difference in quality and thought put into the product. the most creative meal I’ve had would be a sushi taco, where i just shoved different sashimi into a taco shell and had some guacamole dip with it. It didn’t taste very good in its taco form, so i wouldn’t imagine it would taste very good in sandwich form either. A sandwich im genuinely excited to try would be a wanpaku sandwich because of its stupid name and size. it looks to be about 1000 calories, which is insane for a sandwich. As for anpanmans head, i would not eat it, as it would be incredibly unsanitary and undignified.
The Yokai I Selected, Shirime, gets its name from the shining eye in its butthole. The reason I selected this very peculiar Yokai to talk about is because of its often erratic behavior, and the more i read into it, the more i felt intrigued. i wanted to learn more. What drived it? Why did it seemingly find enjoyment in simply scaring oblivious wanderers on the streets? to me, this was a very unusual yokai, and the method it used to scare people was even more unusual. it would only appear at night on the streets, where it would approach unknowing passerby’s, and ask for a moment of their time. However, before even waiting for an answer, “Shirime”, or in English, “butt eye” will pull down his pants (yes, apparently its a dude). It is speculated that Shirime is of a similar species the noppera-bō, a ghost with similar properties.
Japanese mythology is different to Western mythology in which it uses different monsters and creatures to explain each then “supernatural” encounters, instead of a few dozen gods each whom have a area of rule, Poseidon governing over the sea, Zeus over the skies, and Hades over the afterlife.
That being said, i don’t believe in either of the mentioned mythologies, as mythologies were used to explain what couldn’t be explained at the time. However, science has advanced since, and with little to no more encounters which cant be explained with science, Yokai and gods will be little more than part of a make believe game in which humanity used to play.
this image shows the product of precipitate lab. Communication played a key role in the lab, as in order to get accurate and precise results, I had to consult my partner and cross check every measurement made. In communication, we also had to be direct and mature, as to get points across without misunderstandings and misinterpretations. when me and my peers were unsure of procedure, communication with the present teacher was required. In short, the accurate result was only made possible due to me and my partners proficiency in communication.
Reflection Questions- Is violence justified during a revolution/ protest?
A) How did the use of AI assist you in developing this project?
it helped me summarize different ideas and give a thorough understanding of the subject.
B) How did you ensure that the work you created was still your own, rather than just a product of the AI
rather than straight out using the AI’s ideas, I built my own ideas on top of the AI’s and used my own words.
C) Did you agree with the position you had to argue? Why or why not?
being reasonable only works when the other party is reasonable, so at some point in order to be on even grounds, you have to become just as unreasonable as the other party. So yes, I agree to a certain extent.

This year I enjoyed the peaceful environment that my peers and mentors have worked hard to create. The most prominent thing I have acquired knowledge of in this tranquil environment includes knowledge on how to be safe on the internet and that sending your nudes to guys on the internet is very bad. my most prominent strength this is year is my ability to hand in all my homework on time. I am most proud of my ability to pay attention and participate in classroom activities.
I chose this website as it made crediting website on all sorts of projects ten times easier. Crediting the work of others is very important and keeps respects the work of the publisher.
A Useful Educational Video
This is the video that helped me understand more about the earth in the geology unit. It breaks down the topic thoroughly and explains in detail.
A useful Educational Image
this image really helped in the biology unit. It helped me memorize all of the parts of the human body, and I could picture it in my mind during tests.
An Inspirational Quote
“Never stop learning, because life never stops teaching. “
This quote by Lin Pernille helped me through the dark times, as I would think of this quote, whenever I faced any difficulties. this really makes me inspired and fires me up
Internet safety and being positive online are really important in today’s digital world. Internet safety helps protect your personal info and privacy, reducing the chances of cyberattacks and identity theft. Being positive online is important because it makes the internet a friendlier place.
Some not-so-good things that happen online include cyberbullying, where people are mean to each other, and spreading lies and hurtful stuff. This can hurt people’s feelings and create a not-so-nice online world.
To be safe and positive online, remember a few things. Protect your personal info, use strong passwords, and set your privacy settings right on social media. Think before you post – don’t share stuff that’s mean or not okay. Report any bad behavior you see. Check if information is true before believing or sharing it. Be respectful and kind to others, and support good things online. Don’t click on strange links or download weird files. Talk to your family about online safety.
In the end, being safe and positive online is not just about protecting yourself but also making the internet a better and happier place for everyone.

Personal/Social Competency Reflection
My online support network (ex. Teachers’ TEAMS pages, Tech Leadership Edublog, Career Centre web-site, Library web-site, Centennial school web-site, etc) is helpful to me because they…
The online support I had from my school’s TEAMS pages, the Tech Leadership Edublog, and the Career Centre website was crucial for this assignment. They gave me all the information I needed and helped me communicate with my teachers and peers. When I had questions about the assignment, I could easily find answers on the TEAMS pages and the Edublog. The Career Centre website was also useful for career-related aspects of the project. These online resources made the assignment less confusing and more efficient for me.
Some of my preferred strategies for maintaining a healthy, balanced online presence include…
Keeping a healthy online presence is a big deal for me. I’ve got some strategies in place. First off, I try to be nice and considerate when I comment on other people’s stuff and think about what I share online, so it’s all positive and respectful. I also set goals for my online spaces, like my TikTok, Discord, and Instagram. I want to keep it updated and make it better, and I’m getting input from my teachers and friends to reach my goals. I know that my online actions can have good or bad results, so I’m careful about what I share, making sure it matches my values and my online goals.
By doing… online, I make a positive difference to my peers.
By actively participating in online discussions and collaborating with my peers on this assignment, I believe I’ve made a positive difference. I engage in meaningful conversations and share helpful resources related to the assignment topics. This not only benefits my understanding of the subject but also contributes to the learning experience of my peers. Through constructive feedback and support, I aim to foster a sense of community and collaboration within our class. Ultimately, by working together online, we can enhance our collective knowledge and skills, making the learning process more enjoyable and effective for all.
