Examples of where I communicate clearly and purposefully can be seen in my debate project. I think I showed good communication skills when I worked with my partner on this project. This project forced me into a challenging position where I had to use a lot of academic vocabulary in my talk and a lot of my social communication skills, but I think that in the end I did quite a good job with my amazing partner.

Some work habits that worked well for me this semester in Social Studies 9 were.

this semester I worked really hard to do all my assignments as soon as possible, this way I got a habit of not leaving my work for later that was helpful when the assignments due dates were strict. Another habit I got was to review all the class materials on teams; I found it helpful when I knew that I got more information, beside handouts, on my computer and I can open it anytime I needed. This semester also gives me one more important habit, making flash cards on topics I don’t fully understand, I had no idea that simple flash cards could be that useful for learning socials terms or historical events.

· Some ways that I can improve my work habits for next year in Social Studies 10 are…

One of the way I can improve my work habits next year is to make more notice, I think that this year I skip some important information during lessons when I could get distracted on my own thoughts, I think if i will take notice next year I will not only concentrate on my learning, but I will also remember more information. Also, another thing that I think could be helpful is to watch more videos or movies about events that I learn, my brain takes information way better through visuals more than sound, so it would be way easier for me to concentrate on given information.

I don’t talk to them during the lesson to not distract them from important topics the teacher is talking about. Also, I am trying to help them with work they might not understand and explain topics they might have skip or just did not understand. I am trying my best to participate a lot in all group activities that we have and to help everyone if they need it.

My Goal for Socials 10

My goal for socials ten is to be a better listener and use less help from my peers. I want to have more deeper understanding of the topics we learn about and to understand how all I will learn affected people in the past and how that knowledge will affect people in the future. Also, my goal for the next year is to have average grade of A and the minimum one B, this is very important to me because it will give me more self-respect and motivates me to keep moving forward and to perfect my knowledge
