Review/Reflection

1.) Was I able to identify how the geography impact the town/city with ease? How was I able to find how the physical geography impacted these areas?

Using reliable resources from the internet, I was able to find helpful information related to existing developments in/around Banff. This process was quite easy, as I had prior knowledge of physical, climate, and vegetation properties from in-class learning.

2.) How did the technology personally affect my learning? What were the pros and cons of using maphub.com?

Using technology felt quite convenient, as I am confident in the use of technology and can adapt to new programs with ease. I tend to lean towards hands-on posters for most projects, so having an assignment which is to be submitted online was definitely something different for me. I overall enjoyed the process of using Map Hub though.

Pros of using this website was that it was easy to navigate, and wasn’t hard to learn how to use. All the features are quite straightforward and I was able to utilize a large portion of them.

I found there were little to no cons, except for having a small problem of changing the publicity settings, which I ended up overcoming briefly.

3.) Were you satisfied with the result of your design and solutions?

Since the program used is simple and minimalistic, there was limited features available though the final map I created came out well. I was overall satisfied with the clean look of the end result.

4.) How would you refine your assignment in the future?

To refine this assignment if I were to do it again in the future, I would use a different, more customizable program. Though Map Hub was effective, it would be interesting to try out other new programs that could potentially be more productive.

Excluding technology, I would also be open to completing this assignment traditionally by making a poster by hand.
