Capitol Mutation Collaborative Project

My Project

Collaborating Core Competency Reflection

  • I try to include missing voices/ perspectives by ensuring everyone is contributing ideas to the project. Before we start, it is helpful to go around and ask for everyone’s perspective on how they think our project should go. By doing this, and asking for everyone in the groups opinion, we can all feel that our ideas have gone into making a successful project.
  • When I need to work collaboratively with people I don’t know well, I try to have conversations with them and joke around a bit. I think that my joking around, such as making jokes, you can develop a closer relationship with the person. I think that when you have a strong relationship with someone, it is easier to do group work with them, because you already know how they think and their input. So, by making a small connection with someone you do not know that well when working in groups, it just makes the whole process easier.
  • I know the group is working well together when I hear/ see every group member discussing the criteria for the projevt together. By doing that, it clears up what needs to be done for the project. If everyone knows their part, then we know that we are working well together.
  • One goal I have for myself moving forward is being patient and taking time with my work. I can achieve this goal by not rushing myself, and trying to complete my work well before the due date.
