Career Life Project Presentation

Curricular Reflection

During the Career and Life Education 10 class, I developed a good idea of what I would like to do with my career in the future. My goal to become a pediatric nurse requires lots of hard work and dedication. I have grown during this course because I am now aware of the requirements and necessary steps to apply to various post-secondary institutes. I think that will be very helpful in the future because as I complete my final years of school, I am aware of the courses I must take in order to reach my career goals. My initial plan for my career pathway has shifted drastically compared to the beginning of the course, which shows the importance of CLE.

Core Competency Reflection

I can gather and combine new evidence with what I already know to develop reasoned conclusions, judgments, or plans.

I chose this one because I am able to contain information that I have learned independently or what I have acquired from others. This allows me to research and find new information to build onto what I already know.

I can develop a body of creative work overtime in an area of interest or passion.

I chose this one because when I feel passionate about something, I look forward to working on it. This means I can create a very well thought and nicely presented project. This was shown when I created my presentation because I put a lot of work and time into it and had an overall successful outcome.

In familiar settings, I can interact with others and my surroundings respectfully.

When I am in a familiar setting, I am able to connect with my peers and build relationships, therefore getting better ideas from one another. This is valuable during projects because it is important to get different points of view on work.

In familiar settings, I communicate with peers and adults.

I chose this because when I am able to connect with peers and adults, they can help to guide me through any questions I may have. By asking questions I can do my project and meet all criteria.
