Persuasion and Advertisement Unit Reflection

Why is it important to remember who benefits from the advertisement when you view an advertisement?

· Ethical: This Advertisement is ethical because in the ad it states that Haymish from the hunger games used this product to win the Hunger Games

Everyone can benefit from this device, because it enhances hearing. If someone has a hearing problem they could use this product to let them hear better, allowing the person to have an easier time going about their day.

· Choose an advertising technique and explain why it is effective in selling a product. The advertising technique we used was. The technique that was used was kind of manipulation, making the ad seem like a good offer because of the 25% off of the product, even it saying get an edge over the other tributes. Another thing to add on top of it being “25%” off and it giving an advantage, but it says that Haymish used them to win the Hunger Games, and if someone really won a Hunger Games with a product then it must mean that it’s a good product, almost manipulating more people into buying it. So our technique was the “Bandwagon” Technique.

Core Competency Reflection

How I respectfully advocated for my ideas, needs and thoughts, were by waiting for my group members to stop talking and politely ask if we could use my idea/ideas.

A strategy that made me think of ideas were all about thinking into the future, what type of abilities and technical advantages could this give, or would it be in the future? If I thought it would be, I would ask my work members to see what they thought of the idea.

My strengths as a digital citizen include reporting harmful or false information. This contributes to my community because it can prevent the people from looking and learning false or hurtful information.
