CPR Reflection
What are the 4 R’s of the program we used in our CPR & AED unit? “Risk, Recognize, React, Resuscitate.”
Why do you think it’s important to learn about Risk, Recognize, React and Resuscitate and how this might help you moving forward in life? We can use this skill to help other people, since when a person is in cardiac arrest, there might be nobody else who has the skills to help them. We can be the ones to help and practically save lives (if successful).
Core Competency Reflection
In discussions and conversations, I help to build and extend understanding by asking teachers and classmate if I have questions, doing my own research, and practicing and applying my knowledge.
One thing I learned that I didn’t know about the body and CPR is how AED helps the CPR process (and how it works). I learned how to operate an AED during CPR in general and used my knowledge for the assessment. The assessment went very well and I received positive feedback from the teacher.
When I need to boost my mood or re-focus in a classroom for PHE, I sit back and relax to reorganize my thoughts, try to focus on what I am learning and refer to learning materials later to catch up.
