From day one to now i have improved a lot, for example i can read and speak French better than ever before. You can see this on the paper I did at the start and the paper i did at the ending of the semester which was drastically better. One thing i need to work on is writing French i can write basic sentences but more complex ones a have a hard time with.
I am proud of my French 9 exit interview, I feel like i did the best on that assignment i felt the most confident while speaking. I felt better making my own sentence then trying to read a script made my talking more natural. I also liked how I made each line by myself instead of using reverso to get certain words. If i had to do something differently i would have my dad read me the questions so i got more common to the words being said. 2 Core competencies i would like to discuss would be collaboration and creative thinking. For example i used collaboration in all of my group project i did with Kevin and Shivansh. I used creative thinking in my Final project by designing the poster to look like a hockey ice rink.
· How did I share my ideas effectively in this project?
to share my ideas effectively in this project I used captions and bigger text to make my project easy to follow and easy to read.
· What strategies helped me explain my findings clearly?
Picking a theme and sticking to it will make you project easy to follow and easy to read, make sure you simplify everything to make easy for people who don’t know what your topic was about.
2. Critical Thinking:
· How did I approach my research and ensure my information was accurate?
I used the official NHL websites to get accurate information on teams and players, I also made sure the websites I did use where trusted sites.
· What challenges did I face, and how did I overcome them?
One of the problems I had was not that much space for pictures so I used less text to give space for some pictures, i also used pictures that fit the section I was talking about.
3. Personal & Social Awareness:
· What new perspectives did I gain about francophone culture?
I didn’t realize how many francophone players there were in the NHL and some of the goats are francophone, which was very surprising to me. Also there are many players who are in the NHL now that are part of the francophone community.
· How does my learning connect to my own experiences or identity?
I chose this topic because I play hockey and it relates to lot of my experiences and identity as a hockey player and fan of the NHL.
4. Creative Thinking:
· How did I bring creativity into my project?
Instead of using a canvas built in templates i designed my own to look like a hockey rink using shapes and colors to fit the theme of my poster.
· If I did this project again, how would I make it even better?
If i did this project again i would pick better fonts and more pictures to make my project look even better, and give it more of a pop.
This year I enjoyed my math 9 class with Ms. lam and the centennial hockey academy, but almost everything was good this year at Centennial. My favorite part of math 9 was when we learned about polynomials and scale and symmetry. Ms. lam made the classes fun and engaging and learned a lot at the same time. I also really enjoyed the centennial hockey academy, because I was with my friends and we played lots of games on ice. I enjoyed the cent cafetiere because all the food was affordable and tasty. On that note i also enjoyed the longer lunch blocks in high school than middle school.
I chose Britannica for my most useful educational website because it helped me research different topics and get a trusted answer back. For example when I did the socials ADL project I used Britannica to help me gather useful information. My favorite part of Britannica is that the information is written by expert authors who are credible.
A Useful Educational Video
I choses this video for my most useful educational video because it helped me get a better grasp of the French revolution. I like this video because it is very easy to follow and is only 17 minutes long. I used this video to help me study for the French revolution test in socials studies class.
A Useful Educational Image
I choses this image because while learning math I could never remember how to get the area and perimeter of a rectangle. This image help me practice and remember the steps of the equations. This image was very useful because in math we did lots of equations that need you to solve the perimeter or area.
An Inspirational Quote
“All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them.”
– Walt Disney
I chose this quote because it shows that you can do anything you put your mind towards. Just like Walt Disney when he was building Disney Land, which many people though was going to be impossible but he did it. Not only did i use this quote this year I also used it last year in grade 8, to help me pursue through all the work and test to get a good mark.

I ending up spending in total $256.84 on my moms special day, or $287.66 after tax.
In total i spent 85.61% before tax of out budget or 95.89% after tax.
If my budget was only $100.00 I would have not eaten at Gordan Ramsay burger And no puck gift also no go carting and substitute the dinner with another family meal. Also get rid of the ice cream at Vashti rose And the Bauer Mystery Mini. which would bring the total to $80.02 or $89.62. We would have had the same Starbucks Break fest and have the McDonalds family meal for lunch and diner.
If i had $500 dollars I would have not gone go carting and bought to Abbotsford Canucks tickets($191.00 ). I would have also gotten ride of the gift puck and get a 1.36 liter yeti rambler($70.00). In total I would have spent $432.90 before tax or $484.85 after tax.
Refection:
I chose my mom because she is always their when i need her, She deserves to be celebrated because she works very hard and dose lots for me in sports, help remind me to do homework, when i am sad and need cheering up, That’s why i think she needs to be celebrated.
The way I chose to use my money the way i spent it was, I wanted three meals with the diner being at a nice place(Starbucks, McDonalds, Gordan Ramsay burger ), I also wanted to get 1-2 gifts( Vancouver Canucks puck with stand, and mini stick). I also wanted to get a snack(Ice cream), and a activity(Go carting) which I completed in my budget.
Digital Footprint- Your Digital Footprint is a very important thing, Not only dose it show what you do online it also shows who you are online, for everyone to see! Your digital footprint can be used in a multiple of ways from, Job interviews looking on your social media so see what you do, Or friends looking you up to see what kind of person are you, your digital footprint is a very important! There are many ways to maintain a good digital footprint for instance, Looking your name and province up on google and other search engines to see what comes up under your name. Another way you could maintain a is to not visit sketchy websites that could look bad on your search history.
I know that my digital footprint can have both positive and negative consequences , Including, helping get a job, friends looking up you and seeing bad things and not wanting to be your friend. So I adjust my actions to not post much on social media that could be used against me, like things that make me take a sec to think if i should post it or things that could be used against people. I also try to post things that i am doing good like, my hockey team winning or helping out with the city like picking up trash.
Some of my preferred strategies for maintaining a healthy balanced online presences include, only posting things that you are comfortable posting, if it makes you think twice then it is best not to post it. I also try to keep my use of social media very low, only using snap chat for hockey and close friends. Another strategy you could use is to delete are your old accounts you don’t use anymore, because they could have things you don’t want people seeing.
My strengths as a digital citizen include, letting my friends know when i am having a hockey game to see if they want to come, helping out friends online when they need help with work or problems in life. I also try my best to post positive things including, wins with my hockey team, going on a trip, medals in a tournament with friends(if we win anything).
