Math Self Assessment

When I am sad, angry or frustrated, I try multiple tactics to help me be more productive or calm. One of these tactics is to move on to another topic so that I am still working on my work, this can help me feel like I am still feeling productive and then I might be in a better mindset to tackle the difficult question. Another way I calm down is by taking a break and listening to music. This helps me take my mind off work so I can destress.

Examples of where I communicate clearly and purposefully can be seen in how I advocate for myself when I need help with a certain subject. To make sure that I am communicating clearly so that I can get the full help I need, I plan out what I need to ask. Also, I try to keep asking questions until I’m sure I understand; then when I am working on my own, I can be confident in what I’m doing.

By being supportive and working with my peers in the classroom, I can make a positive difference to my peers. When we work together, we are often able to find the answers to difficult questions. Sometimes, it can be discouraging when you continually don’t understand something but when you work with other people in the class it can be easier to figure things out.

To celebrate an accomplishment such as doing well on a test or successfully solving a problem, I will take sometime to relax because I worked really hard on something. I think it is important to celebrate my accomplishments because it can help me to stay positive and keep me motivated.
