Edublog Tritration (Lab 20C)

Artifact

During this lab I found one highlight that I was proud of was to lead a group of three to success. It only took me three trails to finish the lab.

Explanation (Communication)

My ideas were represented on this platform and while working with my peers. The lab was made clear with my partner and we knew what the end goal had to be and what objectives we had to do to get there. Everyone had different notes making the lab harder to do but, I showed my idea to combine all of the notes together to leave no space for mistakes. In order to do this I had to share my information and communicate with my team/group. I took the leadership role in doing most of the lab and focusing my group towards key points of the lab.

Tritration is a method used in labs to measure a certain amount of concentration of two or more substances, the volume of the substances are also found in the process of tritration. One substance is usually unknown. We used tritration in this lab when we needed to determine the concentration of the hydrochloric acid. The end point of this lab was shown by the indicactor. Which was the phenolphthalein going to a very light pink color that would last for 30 seconds. The color wouldnt be too dark but it would be almost transparent that you could see a slight tint of pink. The end point was when both trials were close to color and the slight tint of pink was our final color. This was at the end of the tritration. We finished our lab in three trials. The final concentration of the lab was 0.926 M HCl.

*** I have tried to upload my videos multiple times but they will not load onto edublog.
