Personal/Social Competency Reflection
Some of my preferred strategies for maintaining a healthy balanced online presence includes thinking before I post, if it is appropriate for everyone to see and if it will this hurt or offend anyone? I live by those rules when posting something online. I know whatever I post someone will be able to find it and go over it That is why it is important to think before you post. Nothing on the internet is deleted so be safe so the past can’t hurt you and think before you post something.
I make digital ethical choices such as posting not very often, following only people I know and avoiding interactions from strangers in order to stay safe and keep my digital footprint clean. This is important because I would like to work for the government in the future and they have access to check whatever you have posted through out the years.
Some of the ways I work to build and maintain online relationships are not getting mad at people when I disagree with their opinion, replying when I don’t like/disagree with something and respecting everyone online. I try to respect everyone even when I am offline but this getting more important because everyday we spend more and more time on our phones and computers. If someone does give me problems I avoid talking back but instead I don’t open their message or I read the message and leave it.
