Why is internet safety important?
People can easily search for your name and find out lots of things about you on social media if you’re not careful. there are many unsafe activities such as Sharing location, sending inappropriate photos/videos, telling people you don’t know your age, impersonating, and commenting hateful things on other people’s posts. If you have your location not only your friends but strangers can find where you a, people can see your house, what you do for a living, your family, etc.
What Are Some Steps you can take to Stay Safe on Instagram?
- Don’t send inappropriate photos to anyone, even if they try to pay or they send things
- Don’t share your location because people can just visit your house. You can do this by not saying your address, or where you are
- Don’t message people you don’t know.
- Don’t tell strangers information about yourself.
- Don’t say anything you shouldn’t. Anything can be screenshot, and video tapped.

- Some of my preferred strategies for maintaining a healthy, balanced online presence include… keeping active, by posting and messaging my friends
