Budgeting for a Special Day

I will be surprising my brother Colton with a fun day full of great activities, including going golfing, eating at the golf course and going to buy some new golf accessories. We will wake up at 11am and go out to eat at his favourite restaurant which is Tim Hortons. We will be ordering two Sausage Farmers Wraps to start the day. At 1230, we will go to No Frills and purchase two Monster Energy drinks and then we will head to the Vancouver Golf Club. We will warm up at the driving range and then we will go to the course to play a round of golf. After we play the first nine holes, we will go and share some nachos before we play the next nine holes. After we finish our 18 hole golf game, we will go to Golf Town at the mall. I plan to buy Colton a new putter headcover as well as two new boxes of golf balls. After our long day we will head home for dinner. We will be ordering Doordash Mcdonalds and we get two Quarter Pounder combos to end our special day.

Analysis

I spent a total of $282.47 at the end of this special day. The percentage of my money spent was 94.16%. The first thing would have done differently if I had a budget of only $100 would be to make food at home. The second thing I would have done differently would be not to have taken Colton shopping or to only purchase things that were on sale. On the other hand, if I had a budget of $500, I would have taken him to a high end restaurant, such as The Keg or downtown for the night to watch a Canucks game to end our night.

Competencies

I chose my brother Colton because, he has always believes in me and I know he will help me no matter what. Whenever I start struggling in school or in sports, he is always there to help me . I chose to spend my budget on mostly golf things because I know he really loves golf. I chose to spend almost half of my budget on expensive golf balls because those are his favourite. I feel like my project deserves an extending because I actually did this fun day with my brother. I didn’t buy him all the fancy gifts but we actually did play a round of golf at Vancouver Golf Club and had a great day.
