· When I am having difficulty with something, I usually ask for help from other students or teachers. For example, during wood/metal this year, I was unfamiliar to the new machines and materials, thus not knowing what to do. I asked my friends who seemed to be ahead, and they helped me with using the machines. I also came in during flex times to make sure I as doing the assignments properly, and I asked my teachers for help or to check on my projects before I moved onto the next step. This ensured I understood the material and instructions properly, and even though I had difficulty I was able to catch up by asking for help. Another example is when I came in science everyday after school to get help from my teacher for ionic bonding and formulas. I was really behind and I did not understand anything, and although it took a lot of courage to ask for help when I was behind on so much, I did it and it benefitted me greatly. I was able to fully understand what I was doing, and able to get my teacher’s feedback on my progress. I got comments on my report card how he was happy that I was willing to ask for help and learn more.
A USEFUL EDUATIONAL WEBSITE
This website has been educational for me because it allows me to ask a specific question and explain exactly what the answer is, with linking sources and explaining the details. It makes things easier to research and helps me understand it better, wording it more simple than some websites would. Otherwise, when I try to search for a specific question on google, it doesn’t really give me the answer I am looking for. Perplexity saves me time and helps me actually understand what I am learning, allowing me to understand the big picture and the importance of the topic instead of just memorizing random points and not actually learning anything.
A USEFUL EDUCATIONAL VIDEO
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8qRZcXIODNU
This is a video about the french revolution that we were learning about in social studies. I was really confused on how to study for the upcoming test, because we needed to actually understand how each event that happened connected to eachother, and it was a bit difficult for me to remember everything that happened by just reading my notes. I am more of a visual learner, especially if it is explained by using other examples and making it fun to learn by using jokes or humor so I remember it. I like this video a lot, because not only did it help me on learning about the french revolution, it was actually fun to watch and I was genuinely interested in it. The channel is full of history videos that are explained simply in a humorous fun way, that helps people understand the main idea and connections as to what they are learning.
A USEFUL EDUCATION IMAGE

This image was useful for our chemistry unit in science. I was struggling with ionic bonding, and I really wanted to understand it fully. I went from getting emerging on our first ionic bonding chemistry test, to getting extending on the next ionic bonding chemistry test. Every day after school, I studied how to use ionic bonding for chemical formulas. This image was basically what I would practice doing every day and to visually see it and write it out helped me a lot.
A USEFUL QUOTE
“When educating the minds of our youth, we must not forget to educate their hearts” – Dalai Lama
This quote really stood out to me because as much as education is serious, being a good person is just as important. A person with a brain but no heart will do no good in this world. They could be using their smarts for the wrong causes. The best outcome is someone who is both smart with a good heart so they will ultimately benefit our society. It reminds me to not let myself forget about trying to be a good person throughout highschool and bad influences
